Solar Project Manager
Location: Kent
Are you an experienced Project Manager with a background in Solar PV, Battery Storage, EV Charging or wider renewable energy infrastructure?
We're working with a rapidly growing renewable energy contractor delivering commercial and industrial decarbonisation projects across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of multiple renewable energy installation projects from initial survey through to commissioning and handover.

The Role
As Project Manager, you'll be responsible for the successful delivery of multiple renewable energy projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time and within budget.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the delivery of Solar PV, Battery Storage and EV Charging projects.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors and internal teams.
- Coordinating project activities from pre-construction through to completion.
- Managing site surveys, installation programmes and resource allocation.
- Scheduling direct labour and subcontractors across multiple live projects.
- Coordinating material procurement and deliveries to site.
- Producing and reviewing RAMS and associated HSE documentation.
- Monitoring project performance, costs, variations and revenue forecasts.
- Liaising closely with design, engineering and commissioning teams.
- Managing project quality and resolving installation defects where required.
- Supporting commissioning and project handover activities.
- Mentoring junior team members, apprentices and trainees.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience delivering commercial renewable energy projects.
- Strong Solar PV project delivery background.
- Electrical qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- Experience managing subcontractors and multiple concurrent projects.
- Strong understanding of health & safety requirements within construction environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
- Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
- EV Charging project experience.
- SMSTS, IOSH or NEBOSH qualification.
- Renewable energy EPC contractor experience.
- Knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical installations.
